A verse to change my life

Today we went back to Jurong West Church to attend the last 2 lessons of GOTP with Pst Tan. It was really a long while back since being able to sit in for Pst Tan's bible study. He is definitely one of my favourite BS teacher. I really enjoyed every minute of his teaching and every session with him is able to reveal so much new revelation. Today is not any different.

As Pst Tan goes thru the 12th lesson on the "The 4 requirements of a true worshipper". He mentioned that some verses that is really good to meditate on. When I heard that, I remember the BS lesson I gave in CL about studying God's Word. I was teaching my class about the importance of (1) hearing God's word (2) reading God's word (3) studying God's word (4) memorising God's word (5) meditating God's word (6) applying God's word. I have been quoting the experience I had from the verse Ps 37:4. But as Pst Tan encourages us to meditate on the word, there and then I asked God to give me a new veres to study and meditate on for this year that will change my life. Here is the verse.

1 John 3:21~22
"Beloved, if our heart does not condemn us, we have confidence toward God. And whatever we ask we receive from Him, because we keep His commandments and do those things that are pleasing in His sight."

Wow!! Just by reading it and typing it now in this blog, I can already feel the power of this verse. The tremendous power that is waiting for me to discover, to open the doors of heaven and see the blessings pouring down into my life and into my family.

Friends, let me encourage you to seek for yourself a verse too that you can grasp hold of and start doing the 6 things mentioned above. You will surely see the difference in your spiritual life. Furthermore, it will unleash a new love for the Word like never before. Please share with me your experiences too. Let's use blogs to encourgae each other too.
